Before you take office
How it works
- Each decision costs money from a treasury of ₹1 crore, raised from residents' taxes and fees. Spend more than you have and property tax goes up, which voters notice.
- Voters react to what they see straight away. What they don't see catches up with you a few decisions later, as news. So the right call often costs you support at first, and wins it back only if people can see it working.
- After each choice, we grade it as Nayaneethi Policy Collective would: sound policy, half right or a costly mistake.
- After you choose, click the other options too. Each one opens its own verdict, so you can see why it would or wouldn't have been a good decision. That's where most of the learning is.
- At the end, the voters decide. You need 50% approval to be re-elected.
Five ideas about public policy are hidden in these decisions. Watch for them. We'll reveal them at the end, with how well you spotted each one.
